Prior to purchasing I did my research. I checked into the Sauder website to check the exact dimensions and was perfectly aware that Sauder products are made of pressboard/fiberboard and laminates. I really couldn't afford real wood. The size is perfect for my dining room and the oak color matches my real oak dining table exactly. I was stressed about trying to assemble it myself. But it was fairly simple. The product did have a slightly "mushed" area from shipping, thankfully it was in strategic area (hidden after assembled) The armoire is perfect for keeping the kitties off the keyboard and has the extra bonus of keeping the dust, that electronics attract, down.
