This thing was a huge pain in the, you know what, to assemble. The directions are WAY too vague, and the assembly process was WAY too convoluted. I had to take it apart three time because of either the vague directions or the fact that some of the parts were mislabeled. Towards the end of the project (which took all morning BTW) one of the sliders for the keyboard drawer broke spilling ball bearings everywhere. What a nightmare! If you value your sanity, don't buy this horrendous drain on your nerves. If you do buy it, pay someone else to put it together for you. I need to go get an aspirin :(

We had to assemble the desk, everything is labeled and the instructions were easy to follow. The side of the drawer was broken, we called the company - told them the part number (which was right on each piece) and they sent us out a new part immediately. Once assembled, it is SOLID and every part of it is a factory painted finish. Its compact design easily holds all my office needs. The keyboard tray is large enough for a writing space as well. Definitely a good buy.
