Now that this desk is put together, it looks great in the corner of my kitchen. I needed something that could fit in a small space and could hold my laptop and a few other things, and this really worked well. However, there were numerous problems with assembling the desk. First, there were several screws laying in the bottom of the box that had fallen out of the "pre-assembled" drawer. The screws were supposed to attach the drawer runners to the sides of the drawer, but the screws were too short and narrow and the holes were stripped (apparently during assembly in the factory) so those screws were completely useless.How it got out of the factory with these issues is unclear. We had to go to the nearest hardware store and buy new screws that were large enough to fit the holes and reassemble the drawer on our own. One of the problems with buying something over the internet with so many pieces and parts is that you would be hard pressed to get it back in the box to ship... Read more |
